Helping those families who have lost children in a tragic accident
We have decided to start a charity in memory of our daughter called ‘inspiredbykeira’ so we too can help others who find themselves in similar situations.
On August 2 2017, we tragically lost our beautiful 9 year old daughter Keira, following a terrible car accident. We have experienced, and continue to feel, the huge and very deep pain of losing a child. We had to cope with the added financial pressures caused by having to take time off work, travelling to and from a hospital which was 82 miles away from our home and accommodation when needed. During this time , the love and support we received from family, friends and complete strangers was incredible and helped us during this very dark period, when our world as we knew it, fell apart. We have decided to start a charity in memory of our daughter called Inspired by Keira so we too can help others who find themselves in similar situations, losing a child in a tragic accident, by helping the family we would pay for bereavement counselling, memory bears and other support that would benefit the family.
Inspired By Kiera is for the public benefit to relieve the needs of people in Devon, Cornwall and surrounding areas who have suffered bereavement the sudden death of a child through a tragic accident. We do this by providing grant funding to assist beneficiaries to receive bereavement counselling or therapy.
